Welcome to The Light Shines in the Darkness…, a Christian apologetics website. Christ told
his followers that they were to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14) just as He is the Light of men that shines in the darkness
(John 1:4-5). Since the birth of Christianity, there have been many groups that have challenged the Church from outside and
from within. Thus, Christians are bound “to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is
in you, yet with gentleness and reverence” (1 Peter 3:15 NASB). This website covers world religions such as Roman Catholicism,
Eastern Orthodoxy, and Islam, but it also deals with the heresies of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Modalism, the theology of Oneness
Pentecostalism. Lastly, there is a defense of the Doctrines of Grace (i.e. Calvinist theology). The purpose of this website
is to equip Christians to battle false beliefs and persuade non-Christians to come to the Light that shines in the darkness.
